Let a widow be enrolled if she is not less than sixty years of age, having been the wife of one husband,
Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers.
Practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress.

For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

They have eyes full of adultery, insatiable for sin. They entice unsteady souls. They have hearts trained in greed. Accursed children!
Suffering wrong as the wage for their wrongdoing. They count it pleasure to revel in the daytime. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions, while they feast with you.
Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace:
But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.
See that you do not refuse him who is speaking. For if they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape if we reject him who warns from heaven.
And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
I, Paul, write this with my own hand: I will repay it—to say nothing of your owing me even your own self.
Knowing that such a person is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned.
Training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age,
That the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
Follow the pattern of the sound words that you have heard from me, in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
Do not be hasty in the laying on of hands, nor take part in the sins of others; keep yourself pure.
Through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared,
And with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.
For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.
Brothers, join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us.
Only let us hold true to what we have attained.
Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you.
Complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.
So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, ...
Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,
From whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,

But we will not boast beyond limits, but will boast only with regard to the area of influence God assigned to us, to reach even to you. For we are not overextending ourselves, as though we did not reach you. For we were the first to come all the way to you with the gospel of Christ. We do not boast beyond limit in the labors of others. But our hope is that as your faith increases, our area of influence among you may be greatly enlarged,
