Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,

Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. I coveted no one's silver or gold or apparel. You yourselves know that these hands ministered to my necessities and to those who were with me. Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.
And he sat down opposite the treasury and watched the people putting money into the offering box. Many rich people put in large sums. And a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which make a penny. And he called his disciples to him and said to them, “Truly, I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the offering box. For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on.”
Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others.
He need not honor his father.’ So for the sake of your tradition you have made void the word of God.
He answered them, “And why do you break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?
“Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat.”
“So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.
“Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me. And the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant in whom you delight, behold, he is coming, says the Lord of hosts. But who can endure the day of his coming, and who can stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner's fire and like fullers' soap. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and he will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, and they will bring offerings in righteousness to the Lord. Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the Lord as in the days of old and as in former years. “Then I will draw near to you for judgment. I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, against the adulterers, against those who swear falsely, against those who oppress the hired worker in his wages, the widow and the fatherless, against those who thrust aside the sojourner, and do not fear me, says the Lord of hosts. ...
Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, but those who plan peace have joy.
Now King Solomon loved many foreign women, along with the daughter of Pharaoh: Moabite, Ammonite, Edomite, Sidonian, and Hittite women, from the nations concerning which the Lord had said to the people of Israel, “You shall not enter into marriage with them, neither shall they with you, for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods.” Solomon clung to these in love. He had 700 wives, princesses, and 300 concubines. And his wives turned away his heart. For when Solomon was old his wives turned away his heart after other gods, and his heart was not wholly true to the Lord his God, as was the heart of David his father. For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. ...
“At that time the Lord said to me, ‘Cut for yourself two tablets of stone like the first, and come up to me on the mountain and make an ark of wood. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.”
Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”—
But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.
For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses. Abstain from every form of evil.
And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all.
As we pray most earnestly night and day that we may see you face to face and supply what is lacking in your faith?
For what thanksgiving can we return to God for you, for all the joy that we feel for your sake before our God,
Masters, treat your slaves justly and fairly, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven. Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. Who has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, as some do, letters of recommendation to you, or from you?

And if you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to get back the same amount.
To give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”
And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”

And he said to them, “You have a fine way of rejecting the commandment of God in order to establish your tradition!
You leave the commandment of God and hold to the tradition of men.”
And the Pharisees and the scribes asked him, “Why do your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat with defiled hands?”
(For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they wash their hands, holding to the tradition of the elders,
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

And Pharisees came up to him and tested him by asking, “Is it lawful to divorce one's wife for any cause?” He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” They said to him, “Why then did Moses command one to give a certificate of divorce and to send her away?” ...
And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
