We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete.
Be subject to such as these, and to every fellow worker and laborer.

Now before he was taken he was commended as having pleased God. ...
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
Do not admit a charge against an elder except on the evidence of two or three witnesses.
Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching.
Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared, who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, for it is made holy by the word of God and prayer. ...
Therefore an overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,
I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet.
As I urged you when I was going to Macedonia, remain at Ephesus so that you may charge certain persons not to teach any different doctrine,
Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored, as happened among you,
Therefore we ourselves boast about you in the churches of God for your steadfastness and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions that you are enduring.
