When they came to Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church and the apostles and the elders, and they declared all that God had done with them. But some believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees rose up and said, “It is necessary to circumcise them and to order them to keep the law of Moses.” ...
So Paul stood up, and motioning with his hand said: “Men of Israel and you who fear God, listen. The God of this people Israel chose our fathers and made the people great during their stay in the land of Egypt, and with uplifted arm he led them out of it. And for about forty years he put up with them in the wilderness. And after destroying seven nations in the land of Canaan, he gave them their land as an inheritance. All this took about 450 years. And after that he gave them judges until Samuel the prophet. ...
But in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.
So Peter opened his mouth and said: “Truly I understand that God shows no partiality,
In it were all kinds of animals and reptiles and birds of the air. And there came a voice to him: “Rise, Peter; kill and eat.”
But Peter put them all outside, and knelt down and prayed; and turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up.
In those days she became ill and died, and when they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room.
And taking food, he was strengthened. For some days he was with the disciples at Damascus.
The men who were traveling with him stood speechless, hearing the voice but seeing no one.
Now when they had testified and spoken the word of the Lord, they returned to Jerusalem, preaching the gospel to many villages of the Samaritans.
Who came down and prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit,
Now when the apostles at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent to them Peter and John,
Philip went down to the city of Samaria and proclaimed to them the Christ.
