This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone.
So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.
And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.” Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
And they were amazed and astonished, saying, “Are not all these who are speaking Galileans? And how is it that we hear, each of us in his own native language?
When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven. ...
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
For John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”
When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.

And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed. ...
Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father's who sent me.
“If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works.
By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
The one who rejects me and does not receive my words has a judge; the word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day.
Though he had done so many signs before them, they still did not believe in him,
