If you&#8217;re interested in the Bible and technology (and if you\u2019re reading this blog, you probably are), then you should go read it.<\/p>\n<p>(Ted Olsen, the author of the article, <s>is doing<\/s> also did an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/Christianity\/comments\/1zr9b1\/iama_ted_olsen_managing_editor_of_christianity\/\">AMA on Reddit<\/a> about the article.)<\/p>\n<p>The article talks about the &#8220;academic priesthood,&#8221; and I think it&#8217;s particularly interesting that so few universities are interested in &#8220;digital theology&#8221; (for lack of a better term). You can study at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dur.ac.uk\/codec\/about\/\">Durham<\/a> (like <a href=\"http:\/\/donteatthefruit.com\/2014\/01\/starting-a-phd-at-university-of-durham-uk\/\">John Dyer is<\/a>) or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kcl.ac.uk\/artshums\/depts\/trs\/study\/pgr\/digitheo.aspx\">King&#8217;s College London<\/a>, or you can try to work a biblical emphasis into a digital rhetoric Ph.D. But I&#8217;m surprised that more institutions, especially evangelical seminaries, aren&#8217;t at the forefront of the kind of research described in the article.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This month\u2019s Christianity Today cover story, The Bible in the Original Geek, talks about how programmers are using technology to change how we read, study, and interpret the Bible.
