Deuteronomy 9:20

And the Lord was so angry with Aaron that he was ready to destroy him. And I prayed for Aaron also at the same time.

Hebrews 7:26-28

For it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, innocent, unstained, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens. He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, first for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this once for all when he offered up himself. For the law appoints men in their weakness as high priests, but the word of the oath, which came later than the law, appoints a Son who has been made perfect forever.

Exodus 32:35

Then the Lord sent a plague on the people, because they made the calf, the one that Aaron made.

Exodus 32:21

And Moses said to Aaron, “What did this people do to you that you have brought such a great sin upon them?”

Exodus 32:2-5

So Aaron said to them, “Take off the rings of gold that are in the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me.” So all the people took off the rings of gold that were in their ears and brought them to Aaron. And he received the gold from their hand and fashioned it with a graving tool and made a golden calf. And they said, “These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!” When Aaron saw this, he built an altar before it. And Aaron made proclamation and said, “Tomorrow shall be a feast to the Lord.”
