Faithful are the wounds of a friend; profuse are the kisses of an enemy.

Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.
Like the glaze covering an earthen vessel are fervent lips with an evil heart. For they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness.
The one who conceals hatred has lying lips, and whoever utters slander is a fool.

And Joab said to Amasa, “Is it well with you, my brother?” And Joab took Amasa by the beard with his right hand to kiss him. But Amasa did not observe the sword that was in Joab's hand. So Joab struck him with it in the stomach and spilled his entrails to the ground without striking a second blow, and he died. Then Joab and Abishai his brother pursued Sheba the son of Bichri.
Now the betrayer had given them a sign, saying, “The one I will kiss is the man; seize him.” And he came up to Jesus at once and said, “Greetings, Rabbi!” And he kissed him. Jesus said to him, “Friend, do what you came to do.” Then they came up and laid hands on Jesus and seized him.
