Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the Lord understand it completely.
But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge.
The stupid man cannot know; the fool cannot understand this:
If anyone's will is to do God's will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority.
The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one.
And when he was alone, those around him with the twelve asked him about the parables. And he said to them, “To you has been given the secret of the kingdom of God, but for those outside everything is in parables, so that “‘they may indeed see but not perceive, and may indeed hear but not understand, lest they should turn and be forgiven.’” And he said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables?
Wisdom is too high for a fool; in the gate he does not open his mouth.
The path of life leads upward for the prudent, that he may turn away from Sheol beneath.
I understand more than the aged, for I keep your precepts.
The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear him, and he makes known to them his covenant.
“For my people are foolish; they know me not; they are stupid children; they have no understanding. They are ‘wise’—in doing evil! But how to do good they know not.”
