When evildoers assail me to eat up my flesh, my adversaries and foes, it is they who stumble and fall.
They surrounded me like bees; they went out like a fire among thorns; in the name of the Lord I cut them off!
Have they no knowledge, all the evildoers who eat up my people as they eat bread and do not call upon the Lord?
When my enemies turn back, they stumble and perish before your presence.
And many shall stumble on it. They shall fall and be broken; they shall be snared and taken.”
Arise, O Lord! Save me, O my God! For you strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked.
Why do you, like God, pursue me? Why are you not satisfied with my flesh?
For dogs encompass me; a company of evildoers encircles me; they have pierced my hands and feet—
The cords of death encompassed me; the torrents of destruction assailed me;
So Judas, having procured a band of soldiers and some officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees, went there with lanterns and torches and weapons. Then Jesus, knowing all that would happen to him, came forward and said to them, “Whom do you seek?” They answered him, “Jesus of Nazareth.” Jesus said to them, “I am he.” Judas, who betrayed him, was standing with them. When Jesus said to them, “I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground.
How long will all of you attack a man to batter him, like a leaning wall, a tottering fence? They only plan to thrust him down from his high position. They take pleasure in falsehood. They bless with their mouths, but inwardly they curse. Selah
if the men of my tent have not said, ‘Who is there that has not been filled with his meat?’

I thrust them through, so that they were not able to rise; they fell under my feet. For you equipped me with strength for the battle; you made those who rise against me sink under me. You made my enemies turn their backs to me, and those who hated me I destroyed. They cried for help, but there was none to save; they cried to the Lord, but he did not answer them. I beat them fine as dust before the wind; I cast them out like the mire of the streets.
