Our God is a God of salvation, and to God, the Lord, belong deliverances from death.
“‘See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand.
and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.
Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.
The Lord kills and brings to life; he brings down to Sheol and raises up.

I did not speak in secret, in a land of darkness; I did not say to the offspring of Jacob, ‘Seek me in vain.’ I the Lord speak the truth; I declare what is right. “Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, you survivors of the nations! They have no knowledge who carry about their wooden idols, and keep on praying to a god that cannot save. Declare and present your case; let them take counsel together! Who told this long ago? Who declared it of old? Was it not I, the Lord? And there is no other god besides me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none besides me.
Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery.
that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.
You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews.
Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.
