and they saw the God of Israel. There was under his feet as it were a pavement of sapphire stone, like the very heaven for clearness.
No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.
Then I looked, and behold, on the expanse that was over the heads of the cherubim there appeared above them something like a sapphire, in appearance like a throne.
And he who sat there had the appearance of jasper and carnelian, and around the throne was a rainbow that had the appearance of an emerald.

having the glory of God, its radiance like a most rare jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.
No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.

not that anyone has seen the Father except he who is from God; he has seen the Father.
“Who is this who looks down like the dawn, beautiful as the moon, bright as the sun, awesome as an army with banners?”

The angel of the Lord appeared no more to Manoah and to his wife. Then Manoah knew that he was the angel of the Lord. And Manoah said to his wife, “We shall surely die, for we have seen God.”
And he said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.
The wall was built of jasper, while the city was pure gold, like clear glass. The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every kind of jewel. The first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, each of the gates made of a single pearl, and the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass. And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb.
