How you have counseled him who has no wisdom, and plentifully declared sound knowledge!
for I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God.
how I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you in public and from house to house,
Hear, for I will speak noble things, and from my lips will come what is right, for my mouth will utter truth; wickedness is an abomination to my lips. All the words of my mouth are righteous; there is nothing twisted or crooked in them. They are all straight to him who understands, and right to those who find knowledge.
My mouth will tell of your righteous acts, of your deeds of salvation all the day, for their number is past my knowledge. With the mighty deeds of the Lord God I will come; I will remind them of your righteousness, yours alone. O God, from my youth you have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds. So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come.
To the choirmaster. A Psalm of the Sons of Korah. Hear this, all peoples! Give ear, all inhabitants of the world, both low and high, rich and poor together! My mouth shall speak wisdom; the meditation of my heart shall be understanding. I will incline my ear to a proverb; I will solve my riddle to the music of the lyre.
“Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge?
If not, listen to me; be silent, and I will teach you wisdom.”
My words declare the uprightness of my heart, and what my lips know they speak sincerely.
“Behold, I waited for your words, I listened for your wise sayings, while you searched out what to say. I gave you my attention, and, behold, there was none among you who refuted Job or who answered his words. Beware lest you say, ‘We have found wisdom; God may vanquish him, not a man.’
But you, come on again, all of you, and I shall not find a wise man among you.
Have you listened in the council of God? And do you limit wisdom to yourself? What do you know that we do not know? What do you understand that is not clear to us? Both the gray-haired and the aged are among us, older than your father.
Oh that you would keep silent, and it would be your wisdom!
But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you. Who does not know such things as these?
Have I any help in me, when resource is driven from me?
