who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
My lips will shout for joy, when I sing praises to you; my soul also, which you have redeemed.
as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.
Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.
And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.
For you have delivered my soul from death, yes, my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of life.
Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
For you bless the righteous, O Lord; you cover him with favor as with a shield.
And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation,
The Lord redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.
For you meet him with rich blessings; you set a crown of fine gold upon his head.
“Man is also rebuked with pain on his bed and with continual strife in his bones, so that his life loathes bread, and his appetite the choicest food. His flesh is so wasted away that it cannot be seen, and his bones that were not seen stick out. His soul draws near the pit, and his life to those who bring death. If there be for him an angel, a mediator, one of the thousand, to declare to man what is right for him,
the angel who has redeemed me from all evil, bless the boys; and in them let my name be carried on, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.”
You crown the year with your bounty; your wagon tracks overflow with abundance.
